About the Role:

The Food Runner plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless dining experience by efficiently delivering food orders from the kitchen to guests in a timely and professional manner. This position requires close coordination with kitchen staff and servers to maintain the flow of service and uphold high standards of food presentation and safety. The Food Runner must be attentive to guest needs, promptly addressing any requests or concerns to enhance overall satisfaction. Working primarily during nights, weekends, and holidays, the role demands flexibility and stamina to manage busy service periods. Ultimately, the Food Runner contributes significantly to the restaurant’s reputation by supporting a smooth and enjoyable dining environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant’s schedule.
• Physical capability to lift and carry heavy weights safely throughout the shift.
• Full range of mobility including standing for long periods, reaching overhead, and performing repetitive motions.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced food service environment is preferred but not mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with room service delivery in a hotel or hospitality setting.
• Familiarity with safety procedures specific to food handling and service.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact courteously with guests and team members.
• Ability to multitask efficiently during high-volume service periods.
• Certification in food safety or related training.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver food orders promptly and accurately from the kitchen to guests’ tables or room service locations.
• Assist servers by refilling beverages, clearing plates, and responding to guest requests as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to coordinate order timing and special requests.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and handling of hot or heavy items.
