Assistant Plumbing Estimator

Our client, a long standing Mechanical Contractor in central FL is seeking an Assistant Plumbing Estimator with 2+ years of experience to assist with HVAC and plumbing takeoffs, support SR Estimator with estimates, track vendor pricing, and assist with proposal preperation. This is an ideal role for a highly organized professional looking to advance their estimating career and learn directly from seasoned industry experts.

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

• Assist with HVAC and plumbing takeoffs from construction drawings

• Support preparation of project estimates and bid proposals

• Solicit ad track vendor and subcontractor pricing

• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents

• Help maintain bid schedules and project files

• Comprehend schematics, diagrams, blueprints and other specifications required by contract documents

• General understanding of Florida construction's codes as it pertains to Plumbing and HVAC

Qualifications:

• Experience in construction, estimating, HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical contracting preferred

• Experience with Fast PIPE estimating software preferred

• Ability to read blueprints and construction documents

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit or other estimating software is a plus

• Flexibility for working overtime/weekends, as required
