Special Inspector - Portland / Wilsonville, Oregon Compensation: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour Certerra is a growing national provider of testing, inspection, certification, and engineering services supporting construction, infrastructure, quality assurance, and asset management projects throughout the United States. The Special Inspector performs inspection and testing services on a variety of commercial, industrial, transportation, public infrastructure, and mission-critical construction projects throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington. This position requires strong technical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with project managers, contractors, engineers, and clients. Responsibilities Perform special inspections in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable codes. Read and interpret construction documents, structural details, shop drawings, and RFIs. Conduct required field inspections and testing within certification scope. Prepare accurate and timely daily reports. Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, clients, and internal staff. Maintain and pursue relevant certifications. Follow company safety procedures and maintain a strong safety culture. Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities. Qualifications Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the position. Preferred Certifications ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician ICC Reinforced Concrete ICC Structural Steel & Bolting ICC Proprietary Anchors AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Candidates are not required to possess all certifications.
