Hiring for 1st and 2nd shift Quality Inspectors for in-process and final quality on satellites that delivers high-speed internet using thousands of small satellites in space instead of cables on the ground.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed in-process and final inspections on electrical and mechanical assemblies using detailed drawings, CAD models, and established processes to verify conformance to design requirements.
• Use inspection tools such as calipers, gauges, feeler gauges, and other precision instruments to validate dimensions and quality characteristics.
• Travel to installation and repair locations to conduct thorough inspections of repair stations and associated work.
• Identify, document, and resolve production and test anomalies in accordance with prescribed procedures, and drive or support corrective actions as required.
• Document production nonconformances in accordance with prescribed procedures and processes, ensuring accurate and complete records.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to help resolve quality-related issues within aviation and repair station operations.
• Support quality management system policies and procedure documentation, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
• Assess compliance with quality standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100, and participate in internal quality audits and reviews as needed.
• Initiate and lead continual improvement activities and lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
• Support root cause failure analysis by using root cause analysis tools and software, and contribute to the development and implementation of corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with material review board activities and root cause/corrective action systems to disposition nonconforming material and prevent recurrence of issues.
• Manage assigned priorities and tasks proactively, ensuring inspection activities are completed accurately and on time to meet critical production deadlines.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of quality control experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Capability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of up to 8 hours.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet critical deadlines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Bachelor's or associate's degree in a technical or engineering field (preferred).
• Experience working with material review board processes and root cause/corrective action systems.
• Practical experience working within quality management systems such as AS9100 and ISO 9001.
• Self-motivated, proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks as delegated.
• Experience supporting continual improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Comfort working in a dynamic production environment supporting satellite and aviation operations.

Work Environment

The role is based in a dynamic production environment that supports satellite and aviation operations, where you will work closely with advanced electrical and mechanical assemblies. You will regularly use precision inspection tools such as calipers, gauges, feeler gauges, and other measurement equipment, as well as reference detailed drawings and CAD models to perform inspections. The position requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 25 lbs unassisted, and working in a hands-on shop or production floor setting. Work schedules typically follow two primary shifts: a first shift from approximately 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM and a second shift from approximately 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, with mandatory overtime as needed to support critical deadlines. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $93600.00/yr. insurance medical dental vision subsidized food truck
