Urgently hiring night shift coverage only must have inpatient hospital rounding experience. We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our medical team full time in Tampa FL. We have a need for the PA/NP to cover the night shift for a 4 on/3 off schedule. This role involves inpatient rounding and pain consult coverage for our pain management census. The provider will work independently and collaboratively with physicians and hospital staff to manage patients' acute pain needs. Ideally, the incoming PA/NP has 1+ year of inpatient experience preferred (pain management, internal medicine, hospitalist, or similar), has strong clinical judgment, the ability to work independently and excellent communication and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform rounding on inpatient consults for pain management.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, evaluations, and documentation
• Manage and adjust pain control regimens under the guidance of the attending physician
• Respond to consult requests, follow-ups, and urgent pain-related issues.
• Order appropriate diagnostic tests and accurately interpret test results.
• Order interventions for pain management/pain relief independently once training is completed

Qualifications:

• Completion of an Accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
• Valid and unrestricted Florida APRN or PA-C license
• DEA license with prescriptive authority (or eligibility)

Schedule:

• Full time (4 nights on / 3 nights off)

Salary (range):

• $130k- $150k plus an additional bonus compensation potential
