Registered Nurse - Endoscopy PrePost/PASS

Overview Sentara RMH Medical Center is now hiring a full‑time PrePost/PASS Registered Nurse for the endoscopy unit. This position is responsible for the preparation of endoscopy and pain management patients for their procedure, preparing patients for discharge or transfer following their procedure, and completing the pre‑anesthesia screening process prior to their procedure. City/State Harrisonburg, VA Work Shift First (Days); Monday‑Friday, 8‑hr shifts varying between 06:15‑16:30; no on‑call, no holidays, no weekends. Education Associate’s Degree – Nursing Bachelor’s Degree – Nursing Certification / Licensure Registered Nurse Experience Previous experience in acute care nursing is preferred. Duties / Responsibilities The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care – teaching and health promotion and evaluation) and the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice and nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
