Responsibilities & Duties Provides support with employee files Shadow department members to assist them on various projects and deliverables and to understand the full range of all departments we support Learn about our business by supporting HR professionals and working with members of the operations team Maintain both paper and digital employee files, utilizing our HRIS , UKG Pro Support HR team by answering basic questions from employees Communicate with other departments, including members of the senior management team Assists with processing of onboarding and off-boarding paperwork. Assist with new hire orientation, learn about federal, state, and plant specific documents Assist with recruiting new employees, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews and extending employment offers Provides general clerical support to HR team Other duties as assigned by HR Manager Minimum Requirements Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to function well in a high-paced, team-oriented manufacturing plant Experience with Microsoft Office Suite About Us AJM was founded as a manufacturer of paper and plastic products in 1957 by three (3) Detroit area brothers who eleven (11) years earlier began selling retail packaging, cleaning and office supplies and equipment and consumer disposables out of a small warehouse in Detroit’s Eastern Market.
