Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical/Surgical Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 3rd shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of one year experience in Medical Surgical nursing preferred License: Current state Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent Must-Have: - Excellent customer service skills - Strong critical thinking skills - Effective communication skills - Organizational skills - Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population. The role involves adapting essential functions from the Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice. The Registered Nurse provides critical care and support to patients while also ensuring their safety and comfort. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care is essential in this position. The Registered Nurse must maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical practices and protocols to enhance patient outcomes. They are expected to float to various units as needed based on patient care demands. A commitment to ongoing education and development in nursing practice is crucial for success in this role.
