People Practices Advisor-Mega Project

Job Description This role is located on a large project site and serves as a key local representative of People Practices (PP), ensuring a best‑in‑class employee and candidate experience. The role includes driving engagement with learning and development, partnering in the execution of cultural programming, onboarding, interview coordination, and early‑career builder development programs. It will be the first point of contact to connect employees and managers to the right resources and support within People Operations. Bilingual (Spanish and English) fluency, both written and oral, is REQUIRED. Key Responsibilities Partner with People Practices Leader and Business Partner to provide best‑in‑class employee and candidate experiences. Serve as the first point of contact with employees and guide them to available tools and resources. Interpret and apply People Practices processes, policies, and procedures consistently. Collaborate with the Early Career Events Team to meet outcomes for college recruitment, summer internship, and builder development program rotations. Coordinate with Centers of Excellence and People Operations to deploy People Practices services and execute daily tasks at a local level, including training logistics, new hire orientation, technology support, and event planning. Apply basic knowledge of employee relations to support a positive and inclusive workplace culture; refer complex matters to the Workplace Services Team. Implement the company‑wide onboarding process and adapt it to local project needs. Organize People Practices events (e.g., Craft Lunches, Top‑Out Celebrations, Safety Trainings, Mental Health Awareness, Craft Boot Program, Construction Inclusion Week). Administer employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, and retention programs. Ensure a most admired employee experience with a focus on equity and inclusion across the employee lifecycle. Facilitate a 30/60/90‑day check‑in process with new employees and their coaches. Manage tactical aspects of employee off‑boarding, such as retrieving technology assets and updating Workday contact information. Important Project Assignment Information Full‑time, on‑site position (Monday–Friday). Assigned to a large‑scale Mega Project location within the United States. Daily in‑person presence on the project site is required. This is not a remote or hybrid role. Candidates may be based anywhere in the U.S.; they must be willing to relocate or travel to the assigned project location. Travel support, per diem, and/or relocation assistance may be provided in accordance with company policy. Ability to support the project on‑site for the duration of the assignment is required. This is a regular full‑time, permanent position with DPR Construction. Education Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Work Experience 2–4 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Construction industry experience is a plus.
