Location: Luma Cafe and Eatery, 24 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14303
Shift: Flexible (morning and afternoon availability preferred), weekends required

At Luma, the bar is the heartbeat of the space. As a Barista, you’ll craft high-quality coffee and beverages while creating a welcoming, elevated guest experience. This role combines technical skill with genuine hospitality—ensuring every drink is consistent and every guest interaction feels intentional.

Beverage Preparation & Execution

• Prepare espresso drinks, coffee, and specialty beverages with consistency and precision
• Follow Luma recipes and presentation standards
• Maintain quality and accuracy during high-volume service
• Execute seasonal and signature drinks with attention to detail

Guest Experience

• Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming environment
• Take orders accurately and guide guests through the menu
• Stay calm, professional, and attentive during busy periods
• Ensure every interaction reflects Luma’s service standards

Bar Flow & Readiness

• Set up and maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar
• Dial in espresso and monitor coffee quality throughout the shift
• Restock milks, syrups, and supplies as needed
• Keep service efficient and flowing during peak hours

Cleanliness & Standards

• Maintain a clean and polished workspace at all times
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards
• Clean and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and equipment
• Support overall café cleanliness as needed

• Hospitality-Driven: Great coffee matters, but how guests feel matters more.
• Team Player: Work closely with front and back of house to keep service smooth.
• Detail-Oriented: From milk texture to order accuracy, you get the details right.
• Positive Energy: You bring a steady, welcoming presence to the space.
• Reliable: Show up on time, prepared, and ready—especially for busy mornings and weekends.

• Previous barista or café experience preferred, not required
• Interest in coffee, espresso, and hospitality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong communication and multitasking skills

• Ability to stand and move for extended periods
• Frequent reaching, bending, and lifting
• Lift up to 25 lbs
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced café
