Business Analyst

The Institution for Savings is seeking a full-time in-office Business Analyst to contribute to the improvement of internal processes by determining best practices and solutions through the design, development, testing and implementation of workflows associated with core banking and ancillary products. 

Responsibilities: 

• Use analytical tools to report various sources of customer and product data. 
• Design, test and implement processes to automate the business process within workflow management software to reduce operation risk and expense. 
• Proficient in SQL, HTML and API integrations including SOAP/REST web services.
• Ability to solve problems, think creatively, recall and learn new information.
• Work with various business teams to identify reporting needs and author reports using IBM Cognos and/or SQL queries.
• Document and/or update various procedures and systems related to work.
• Work well with vendor support personnel to troubleshoot or enhance applications.
• Confer with various business teams to gather, evaluate and analyze business processes.
• Adhere to Bank policies and procedures and systems related to work.
• Successfully completes annual regulatory training as required by the bank and adheres to all applicable banking regulatory requirements for this position. 

Job Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school; or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Strong software report writing knowledge. Design, develop, test and implement workflows. The job will entail using SQL, HTML and API integrations including SOAP/REST web service. Further report writing will include working with various business teams to identify reporting needs and author reports using IBM Cognos and/or SQL queries. 
• Creative, problem solver, quick learner and self-starter.
• Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills to perform and prioritize a high volume of tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of Jack Henry Database software is helpful.
• Embrace a team-oriented culture and work collaboratively across the Bank to support the Bank’s strategic growth plans.

Hourly Range: $28.85-$38.45 

The salary range listed is just one component of the Bank’s total compensation package.
