Job Description

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is seeking a qualified Manager of Health Care Administration as an integral member of its administration team. The Manager will provide operational leadership and administrative oversight to support the department's clinical, financial, and administrative goals.

The Manager will lead a high-performing administrative team and will support the department's mission of delivering exceptional patient care, education, and research. 

The Manager should expect to:

• Oversee day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the PM&R department, ensuring alignment with UF Health and University of Florida policies and compliance standards.
• Manage budget, financial reporting, and resource allocation across clinical and research programs to ensure efficient, compliant, and fiscally responsible performance.
• Provide direct supervision to a staff of surgery schedulers, Administrative Specialist III and departmental Human Resources staff.
  • Responsibilities will include assigning work and establishing performance expectations.
• Resolve operational issues, standardize workflows, ensure compliance with institutional policies, and coordinate initiatives that improve overall efficiency and departmental performance.
• Work closely with the Director of Health Care Administration and central university offices to support strategic planning and program development.
