Mental Health Clinician 3 (Co-Occurring Disorders, PCN 20-N20005) Fairbanks, AK The Department of Corrections, Division of Health & Rehabilitative Services is recruiting for a Long Term Non-Permanent Mental Health Clinician 3 position at the Fairbanks Correctional Center (FCC) located in Fairbanks, Alaska. What You Will Be Doing Conducting substance use disorder screenings and assessments through direct interviews, review of existing history and clinical observation to make appropriate treatment recommendation. Conducting diagnostic screenings, risk assessments, and mental health evaluations of referred inmates through the review of existing history, prior psychological testing, clinical observations, and direct interviews. Developing, implementing, and maintaining treatment plans for inmates assigned to caseload. Coordinating mental health and substance use disorder treatment services at the facility. The Working Environment You Can Expect This position is located at the Fairbanks Correctional Center, a secure facility that holds a sentenced and unsentenced population of both males and females. This position will work closely with a team of correctional officers, mental health clinicians, and medical staff. Minimum Qualifications Doctoral degree OR Master's degree from an accredited college in counseling, psychology, social work, child guidance, vocational rehabilitation, or a closely related field. Psychology: Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and theories of human behavior and performance in various contexts, mental processes, or the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders. Therapy and Counseling: Knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of physical and mental ailments, and career guidance.
