PCU Registered Nurse

$2448.00/week - Job Summary: Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, monitoring patient conditions and implementing care plans to promote recovery and stability. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes during day shifts. Responsibilities: Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans based on clinical best practices. Administer medications, treatments, and interventions accurately according to physician orders. Monitor patient vital signs and neurological status, recognizing and responding to changes promptly. Document patient progress, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic health records. Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge instructions. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and clinical protocols. Qualifications: Possess a valid Ohio or compact state RN license in hand at the time of submission. Require a minimum of 12 months of current, permanent experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown nursing. Hold an active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification. Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments, passing on the first attempt. Be willing to work day shifts and be available to work holidays as needed. Be nicotine-free (for non-exempt candidates) with recent negative drug screens within the past 12 months.
