We are seeking a reliable, caring, patient, and organized Nanny / Household Assistant to support our family with childcare and day-to-day household responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, including children on the autism spectrum , and will be comfortable creating a safe, supportive, and structured environment.
Schedule
* Monday through Friday: 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM
* Some weekends as needed , with advance notice when possible
Responsibilities
* Provide attentive, compassionate, and developmentally appropriate childcare
* Assist with after-school routines, activities, meals/snacks, and evening routines
* Provide patient and consistent support tailored to the needs of a child on the autism spectrum
* Transport children to and from activities, appointments, or other scheduled destinations as needed
* Prepare simple meals and snacks for the children
* Help keep children's bedrooms, play areas, and common spaces tidy and organized
* Assist with children's laundry and light household tasks
* Help with household organization, errands, and occasional grocery shopping
* Maintain consistent communication with parents regarding schedules, activities, and the children's needs
* Help maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing home environment
Requirements
* Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle
* Current CPR certification
* Previous experience working with children on the autism spectrum
* Prior nanny, childcare, family-assistant, or similar experience preferred
* Dependable, punctual, patient, and trustworthy
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Comfortable driving children as part of the position
* Ability to work the regular weekday schedule and occasional weekends as needed
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is warm and engaging with children while also being dependable and proactive around the home. A successful candidate will understand the importance of patience, consistency, clear communication, and respecting each child's individual needs.
