Mission Trail Baptist Hospital opened in 2011 to serve the residents of southeast San Antonio. The environmentally-friendly facility features natural light in patient rooms, native plants, and water conservation measures. In addition to traditional hospital services, the campus features specialty support such as The Joint Club and Baptist Breast Center. Excellent specialty coverage (Neurosurgery, etc.) is available across the five hospitals in San Antonio's Baptist Health System, as well as adult and geriatric psychiatric facilities. Enjoy a simple "one call" system for admissions and transfers.

ED Volume: 50,000

• Trauma Designation: Level IV
• ED Beds: 17 ED beds with 4 additional Fast Track beds
• Staffing Model:
  • 8-10 hour Physician shifts (depending on volume trends) with APP support
• ED Admission Rate: 11%
• EMR: Cerner
• Patients/Hour: 2.4
• Qualifications: BC/BP in Emergency Medicine preferred
• We use a state-of-the-art Split Flow and Front End process along with a Results Pending area to handle volume surges

As a medical director at USACS, you will be responsible for collaborating with the hospital and nursing leadership while supporting and leading your Physicians and APPs. You will serve as a leader both within the emergency department and across the organization.
