Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Previous experience in the Operating Room (either as a circulator or scrub nurse)
• Familiarity with surgical asepsis, instrument handling, and safety protocols
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
• Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary surgical teams

Primary Responsibilities:

• Preparing the OR for procedures, including verifying equipment, instruments, and supplies
• Providing direct patient care before, during, and after surgery
• Functioning as either a circulating or scrub nurse, as needed
• Monitoring patient responses, advocating for patient safety and comfort
• Assisting with documentation and the hand-off process
• Maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to infection control guidelines
