About the Role
The Company is seeking a Dean for its Graduate School, which serves as the academic home for advanced study and scholarly achievement. The successful candidate will be a collaborative and innovative academic leader, responsible for overseeing the development of graduate programs, student success, and professional development initiatives. This role is pivotal in elevating the national profile of the institution in graduate education and research. The Dean will work closely with university leadership, academic deans, faculty, and research partners to ensure that the Graduate School remains a destination for talented graduate students, distinguished faculty, and impactful research. Key responsibilities include leading graduate admissions, student support, and academic policy, as well as defining and implementing a strategic vision for graduate education. Applicants for the Dean position at the company's Graduate School should have a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree, a strong record of scholarly achievement, and a proven track record in academic leadership. The role requires a deep understanding of the graduate education landscape, including program development, enrollment management, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The ideal candidate will be adept at fostering a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and excellence in graduate education. Experience in a top-tier research university and a commitment to the values of a land-, sea-, and space-grant institution are highly desirable. The Dean will be expected to engage in strategic planning, and community outreach, and to contribute to the welfare of the state, region, and beyond.
