Our client, a leading organization in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting production and warehouse teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Material Handler

Location: Bloomfield, CT

Pay Range: 1st Shift $17.00 and 3rd Shift: $17.50

Shift: 2 shifts available to choose from

• 1st Shift: 5:00am to 1:00pm
• 3rd Shift: 10:00pm to 6:00am

What's the Job?

• Safely operate pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment to move raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
• Supply production and packaging lines with required materials to support continuous operation.
• Load and unload trailers, verifying counts and ensuring proper documentation.
• Perform physical movement and accurate system transactions for all materials, including scanning, labeling, and inventory tracking.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through timely and precise material movements and reporting.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts or powered industrial trucks (PIT) required; certification preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management or ERP systems (SAP experience a plus).
• Knowledge of food safety and GMP requirements preferred.
