Position Overview The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for coordinating all receiving operations, ensuring accurate processing of incoming materials, maintaining inventory integrity, and supporting warehouse safety and efficiency. This role requires strong attention to detail, equipment operation experience, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced logistics environment. Key Responsibilities Coordinate workflow within the Receiving Department, prioritizing tasks and distributing work to assigned personnel. Perform full receiving functions including verifying deliveries for correct items, counts, and weights. Inspect and sample incoming raw materials and report discrepancies, damages, or inconsistencies. Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment with proper segregation of quarantined and approved materials. Communicate across departments to resolve purchase order discrepancies and ensure proper handling and storage of materials. Conduct daily maintenance checks on material handling equipment and ensure safe operation. Support logistics leadership in maintaining safety and environmental compliance on the receiving floor. Perform routine cycle counts (daily/weekly) to maintain inventory accuracy. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between physical counts and system records. Maintain accurate stock organization, including labeling items with SKUs and barcodes. Safely transport materials from receiving docks to storage locations, racking systems, or production areas. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers in accordance with safety standards. Optimize warehouse space through consolidation and maintaining clear, hazard‑free aisles. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred). Prior warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience (preferred). Experience operating forklifts and/or other material handling equipment (preferred). Ability to lift, move, and transport materials as required in a warehouse environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inventory tracking. Ability to follow safety procedures and compliance standards consistently. Strong communication skills for cross‑department coordination. Ability to work 10‑hour shifts on assigned schedule. Experience with inventory systems and basic warehouse documentation (preferred). Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment. Additional Information No physical fit test required. Must be able to maintain compliance with warehouse safety and operational standards.
