Details Acute care unit combining Med-Surg and ICU/step-down patient care, 30 beds with 40 staff Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM 13-week assignment length Patient ratios of 2-4:1 for ICU/step-down and 5-6:1 for Med-Surg, supported by 2-3 PCTs per floor Utilizes IV pumps, SCDs, Nova Stat glucometer, wound vac, Baxter feeding pump, lift equipment, and Pyxis Charting performed in Cerner EMR Weekend rotation required approximately every 3rd Monday and Friday within a 6-week schedule Holiday coverage required per facility staffing matrix Floating to TCU may be required Requirements Active RN license (NC or Compact) required BLS and ACLS certifications required, to be completed prior to end of orientation Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required ICU or step-down experience preferred At least 1 year of Med-Surg experience preferred Experience with IV starts, CVL, arterial lines, foley catheters, EKG monitoring, and wound care preferred Cerner EMR experience preferred No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Participates in a team-based care model with daily interdisciplinary meetings including MDs, nursing, case management, pharmacy, and PT/OT to discuss patient care and discharge planning Best suited for candidates able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment Navy blue scrubs required for nurses Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted American Traveler Job ID P-742430.
