Role Description This full-time, hybrid Business Sales Representative role is based in Akron, OH. The individual in this role will identify, prospect and engage local businesses to join BBB Akron’s community of trustworthy organizations, presenting membership benefits and accreditation standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a sales pipeline, conducting outreach via calls, emails and in-person meetings and delivering clear and accurate information about BBB programs and services. The role involves maintaining relationships with existing accredited businesses, providing responsive customer support and ensuring a high level of satisfaction. The Business Sales Representative will collaborate with internal teams on sales campaigns, track performance metrics and adhere to BBB’s ethical guidelines in all sales and account management activities.

Qualifications

• Strong Sales and Sales Management skills to prospect, qualify leads, close opportunities and meet or exceed revenue targets.

• Customer Service and Account Management skills to build long-term relationships, support accredited businesses and handle inquiries professionally.

• Excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written abilities, active listening and effective presentation to diverse business audiences.
\n
• Proven ability to work on-site, manage time effectively, and stay organized with CRM or similar tools.
\n
• Comfort with outbound outreach, including phone, email, and in-person meetings and willingness to travel locally as needed.
\n
• Experience in B2B sales, nonprofit or membership organizations or the local business community is beneficial.
\n
• High level of integrity and alignment with BBB’s mission and standards of marketplace trust.
\n
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
