MRI Technologist - Part Time 48Hrs/Pp, 3rd Shift, Variable (BARS/BMH)

Job Overview Position: MRI Technologist – Part Time, 3rd Shift (Variable, 48 hrs/week) at BMH Bronson Methodist Hospital. Responsibilities Operate and maintain MRI equipment for diagnostic imaging, ensuring quality and safety. Provide MRI services for all body parts following policy and procedure, optimizing patient care by considering age and special characteristics. Instruct patients on examination procedures, obtain informed consent, and monitor for adverse reactions. Maintain equipment cleanliness, troubleshoot issues, and report problems to supervisor. Perform first aid and assist in emergencies related to contrast media or other events. Adhere to sterile technique to prevent cross‑contamination. Complete imaging studies within specified timeframes, ensuring timely delivery of results. Maintain appropriate supply levels and equipment documentation. Train and supervise student technologists, new hires, and non‑professional assistants as assigned. Maintain patient records, demonstrate patient safety, and follow MRI‑specific safety protocols. Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited school of Radiological Technology. Minimum three months of clinical and on‑the‑job training. Registry‑eligible or registered R.T. (MR) and/or A.R.M.R.I.T. certification. Registry‑eligible technologists must obtain registration within six months of hire. BLS certification required within six months of hire. Proficient with basic computer programs for record keeping. Excellent communication skills, customer‑service orientation, and ability to handle difficult situations with assertiveness. Leadership and organizational skills, capable of working independently and taking initiative. Positive, resilient attitude and strong teamwork abilities.
