Role Overview

As a Nurse Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). You'll assist in patient care, respond to emergent situations, and contribute to a compassionate healthcare environment. Your work directly supports the RN team and enhances the overall patient experience.

• Assist the RN in providing patient care to meet safety and comfort needs.
• Provide input to help plan and implement patient care.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (e.g., Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician) OR current enrollment in a nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing OR foreign-trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license OR Medical Assistant program with or without experience OR at least one year of experience in a similar role.
• Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred.
