Position Overview

Seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team in a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional care to unstable newborns, specifically those born at 32 weeks gestation and greater.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
• Weekend Work: Required to meet staffing needs

Key Responsibilities

• Attend all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries.
• Provide required medical procedures and care, including:



• Breathing treatments
• Chest tube setup and care
• CPAP/BiPap support
• Procedure sedation and Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI)
• Use of cooling/warming blankets
• Management of drains and feeding tubes
• Accessing and caring for PICC and central lines
• Utilization of syringe pumps
• Support during gynecological surgeries and couplet care
• Assist in the transition nursery

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a Level II NICU setting. Travel experience is required.
• Certifications: BLS and NRP required.
• Skills: Proficiency in handling neonates (29-34 weeks), breastfeeding support, isolation precautions/PPE, and care for IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids.

Additional Information

• Floating between Postpartum and Labor & Delivery may be required.
• Interdisciplinary support will be available within the unit.
• This role may involve care for patients with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome.

Travelers are expected to float between nearby facilities as required; refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment. All candidates must comply with the facility's policies regarding RTO (Request Time Off) and scheduling requests.
