Senior Account Executive - Bay Area
We are Spectro Cloud. A super fast-growing startup on a mission to deliver a Kubernetes-centric platform that allows application teams (developers) and their IT & Platform friends to work together in making software easier, safer and more fun to deliver and manage. We help people use and run Kubernetes their way, anywhere. Led by a team that has built products and companies successfully before and is doing it again; together with talented team members and industry-leading investors backing us up, we are taking K8s to the moon and beyond.
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Account Executive - Bay Area to support Spectro Cloud's next phase of growth. The ideal candidate should enjoy a mission-driven, fast paced environment where their work directly impacts the organizational growth. The candidate should have a variety of skills and knowledge about the basic workings of a business and feel confident using those skills daily. This position will report to the Regional VP of Sales in the Bay Area.
What You Will Do
- Generate new sales opportunities with Enterprise clients in the Bay Area and Rockies region
- Create and maintain proposal and contract documents
- Serve as a company representative at major industry events, conferences, and/or tradeshows
- Maintain Salesforce.com forecasting accuracy and reporting
- Attain designated sales goals
- Be comfortable working in a matrixed sales environment collaborating with internal and external business partners
- Build and maintain relationships with VARs, Alliance Partners and Integrators to grow the business
- Build and manage pipeline focused on new logo acquisition and expansion
- Have fun and make money
Experience required
- 10 to 15 years minimum of Enterprise sales experience in a software company, ideally with cloud native, K8s, VM knowledge
- Ability to navigate a competitive landscape and articulate value and TCO focused on customer outcomes
- Proven track record of success in closing strategic deals
- Comfortable with value based selling approach and long-term relationship mind set
- Geographically located in the Bay Area remote/home office
- Proven ability to sell at an executive/C-suite level
- Excellent pipeline management skills
- Hunter mentality with the ability to land and expand new logos within a territory
