Electronics Technician IPGS Worldwide is seeking an Electronics Technician I for a 6-month contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. In this role, you will support C-130J aircraft modification efforts by installing, routing, terminating, and testing electrical harnesses and cable assemblies. The position requires interpreting engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, and technical documentation while performing aircraft electrical installation and modification work in accordance with established procedures.Required SkillsMinimum two (2) years of aircraft electrical experience in Communications/Navigation, Guidance Control, Electronic Warfare, Avionics, Electro/Environmental systems, or equivalent fieldsMinimum two (2) years of demonstrated aircraft electrical experience completing wire/harness fabrication, routing, installation, and testingAbility to read and interpret aircraft electrical drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and specificationsMinimum equivalent of a USAF 5-Level (Journeyman) or equivalentAbility to install, route, terminate, and test electrical cables and harnessesExperience working with Fiber Optic, 1553 Data Bus, RF, Twinax, Triax, Quadrax, and Ethernet cable systemsExperience using hand tools, power tools, support equipment, and calibrated test equipmentAbility to read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and technical dataU.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security ClearancePreferred SkillsAvionics/electrical systems wire routing and installation experienceMilitary or commercial aircraft modification installation experienceExperience with wire harness installation and checkout proceduresAbility to interpret installation drawings, route electrical cable assemblies, perform termination processes, and conduct continuity checksAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, symbols, flags, and general notesExperience working on C-10J aircraftActive Secret Security ClearanceWhat You'll DoInstall, modify, route, terminate, and test aircraft electrical harnesses and cable assembliesRemove and install aircraft components as requiredInterpret engineering drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, routing drawings, and harness assembly drawingsRead and apply maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and technical specificationsUtilize hand tools, power tools, work stands, support equipment, and calibrated test equipmentMaintain a clean, safe, and FOD-free work environmentHandle and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with regulations and proceduresPerform work in and around aircraft, including overhead and repetitive tasks
