Job Title: Order Picker / Cherry Picker Operator

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Order Picker to join our team. This position offers two shifts: 1st shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and 2nd shift from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am, Monday through Friday. Please note that the hours can fluctuate based on workload, so flexibility is required. Candidates must also be comfortable working on Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift in a manufacturing or distribution setting.
• Move products and parts for customers onsite.
• Handle work orders, cycle counting, and lifting items up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain inventory control and utilize handheld devices.
• Read and interpret work orders according to customer expectations.
• Perform general warehouse duties beyond forklift operation.

Essential Skills

• Forklift experience, particularly stand-up and sit-down forklifts.
• Proficiency in inventory management and control.
• Ability to handle material and perform general labor tasks.
• Experience with RF scanners and inventory control systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Comfortable with heights.
• Experience in shipping, receiving, loading, unloading, packing, and packaging.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks and reach trucks.

Work Environment

This role is based in a warehouse environment where you will utilize various equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners. The position requires the ability to adapt to changing schedules and perform a range of tasks, ensuring a varied and engaging work experience. Dress code is casual, suitable for a warehouse setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roanoke, TX.

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
