Our client, a world leader in diagnostics and life sciences, is looking for a Global Project Manager/Technical Project Manager (Agile Release Train) based out of Santa Clara, CA (Hybrid). The Project Management team works as part of the Portfolio and Project Management function to help each customer area within Diagnostics track and manage their portfolio from a strategic vantage point. As part of the Project Management Chapter, the Global Project Manager conducts project/ART meetings and is responsible for the definition and implementation of project risk mitigating measures. Reports project goals (e.g, KPIs/OKRs) to enable teams and functions to measure and improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness. Recommends and takes action to analyze and find solutions to problems. We rely on GPMs to maximize the impact of our annual R&D investment. In order to do this, the GPM has a 360° view into the organization and, with support from the broader Portfolio & Project Management organization, connects all data points & information into a neutral fact base to enable strategic discussions and decisions. As a trusted advisor, translates and drives projects into products and enables the organization to use energy and time effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coach SAFe practices, Agile Release Trains (ART), and PI planning to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
• Collaborate with VMO, PPM chapters, Network Leads, and partners to resolve delivery hurdles.
• Set up and manage ART/project structures including communication, timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans with dependencies and resource allocation.
• Guide milestone and capacity review preparations; lead process improvement initiatives.
• Apply and share project management best practices across teams for continuous improvement.
• Provide transparent project/ART updates to support team and leadership decision-making.
• Act as a trusted advisor on planning, risk management, scenario analysis, and critical path tracking.
• Identify gaps, bottlenecks, and risks; propose solutions and escalate issues proactively.
• Deliver accurate and timely project data to enable portfolio-level analysis and decisions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in science, engineering or business related fields; higher level degree a plus.
• Experience with Agile development practices and mindset PMP Certification as well as SAFe Certification highly preferred
• Minimum 5 years project management experience in the diagnostic, medical device, pharmaceutical or biotech industry leading complex new, product development and product care projects or equivalent
• Demonstrated effective management of projects or ARTs
• Working knowledge of Planisware, G-Suite and know-how of project management tools such as Trello, LucidSpark/LucidChart, Smartsheet, Jira, AHA is preferred
• 5%-15% travel involved
