We are looking for an experienced and dependable  Maintenance Mechanic to join a stable, long-established manufacturing team with a strong history of job security and no history of layoffs.

In this hands-on role, you’ll support  high-speed can manufacturing and production equipment , troubleshooting mechanical issues, completing repairs and preventative maintenance, and working alongside the electrical team when equipment problems involve electrical components or controls.

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working around production machinery, can troubleshoot problems effectively, and takes pride in keeping equipment running safely and efficiently.

Schedule

This position works a  rotating night schedule between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM , including weekends.

The rotation typically includes a combination of 12-hour shifts, a half-day Monday, and scheduled days off that alternate from week to week. Shifts may also be traded with similarly trained team members when needed.

• Overtime: Paid after 40 hours per week
• Double Time: Paid after 48 hours per week
• Typical workweek: Approximately 42–48 hours

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical problems on high-speed production equipment.
• Work with mechanical drive systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors, bearings, gearboxes, and other production machinery.
• Work alongside our Electrical Technicians to troubleshoot equipment involving wiring, circuits, switches, fuses, motors, drives, and related electrical components.
• Perform preventative maintenance to help reduce downtime and keep equipment running reliably.
• Identify worn or damaged components and coordinate the repair, replacement, or fabrication of parts when needed.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and help safely return production lines to operation.
• Support equipment improvements, reliability, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow all plant safety, quality, and food safety procedures.
• Keep maintenance and work areas clean and organized.
• Perform additional maintenance duties as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance, production maintenance, or mechanical technician experience preferred, or equivalent technical education/training.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience with  high-speed production or packaging equipment is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, mechanical drives, motors, bearings, and similar equipment.
• Basic understanding of industrial electrical systems is helpful.
• Knowledge of automation principles and controls logic is a plus.
• Comfortable using common maintenance tools and shop equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance and production team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment that may become hot.
• Ability to crawl under equipment and climb ladders when necessary.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work the required rotating night and weekend schedule.
