Job Summary: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR) Hackensack, NJ. The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver nursing practices aligned with evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care, supporting safe and individualized patient care in the Interventional Radiology (IR) setting with pre-procedure and post-procedure (PACU) responsibilities. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 7:00 AM3:30 PM, MondayFriday, with 32 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) (AHA); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); an ASN; NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license; must have six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience; two (2) strong (recent) years of critical care, pre-op, and Recovery/PACU experience; strong background in Telemetry; must be tele certified; ability to perform pre-op and PACU-related responsibilities including admission assessment and IV placement; ability to support procedure recovery.
• Preferred Qualifications: Pre-op and PACU experience; the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs; strong sense of accountability; exceptional focus on teamwork; dedication to ongoing education and passion for patient-focused care; three (3) or more years of PACU experience is preferred.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include admission assessment, IV placement, and procedure recovery; care includes ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and other members of the healthcare team regarding patient status, rendered care, and treatment plans; medication administration with patient safety-focused bar-scanning and documentation technologies; point-of-care electronic documentation of assessments, plan of care, interventions, and evaluation of rendered care; and patient and family centered education to optimize health, wellness, and disease management. Pre-procedure and post-procedure roles include Interventional Radiology preop and post op nursing support.
