Relationship Banker I

This position is open to local candidates only, within a 25-mile radius of Mt. Vernon, Texas.

POSITION PURPOSE

This position acts as a customer advisor and navigator throughout the bank, uncovering, understanding, and acting upon financial cues to meet the customer's needs. This employee offers the customer the highest degree of service and promotes all Alliance Bank's products and services.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. High School diploma or equivalency.
2. Ability to read, write, and speak the English language, bilingual helpful.
3. Ability to offer Alliance Bank's products and services.
4. Two (2) years of experience in banking or job-related field and one (1) year of training and/or education in the field or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
5. May consider cash handling, customer service, and/or administrative skills.
6. A minimum of 1 year at Alliance Bank is preferred.
7. Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and have the ability to deal with and respond to employees, customers, third party vendors, and salespersons with tact, diplomacy, and a sense of urgency.
8. Ability to meet performance expectations and job description functions for the role of a Service Specialist.
9. Ability to prioritize own tasks and responsibilities to ensure that excellent service to our customers is accomplished before most administrative functions are processed.
10. Ability to handle multiple tasks within a prescribed time period and adapt to frequent or unexpected changes in work responsibilities or processes.
11. Ability to operate basic office equipment including a PC with job-related software.
12. Ability to handle bank and customer transactions with a high level of confidentiality.
13. Knowledge of state and federal regulations.
14. Knowledge of Alliance Bank's policies and procedures.
15. Knowledge of Alliance Bank's products and services.
16. Schedules are prepared based on business needs and are subject to change at any time. This may include the need for evenings, weekends, or holiday coverage.
17. Office setting with moderately varied desk-oriented activity.
18. Repetitive movement of finger, wrist, and hand.
19. Ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat, and kneel.
20. Ability to lift 50 lbs.

6. In addition to the duties of a Service Specialist, a Relationship Banker I is expected to accurately and efficiently complete other customer transactions, including but not limited to:
7. Issue, Print, Maintenance, and Pin Debit cards
8. Place Stop payments and order checks through the Deluxe website
9. Ability to perform Dormant Account Maintenance
10. Accept and input wires for customers
11. Ability to print statements, and research images of checks and deposits
12. Assist customers with digital banking products such as online banking, mobile applications, and e- statements
13. Knowledge of Consumer Account products, but not limited to:
14. Deposit and Savings account types and features
15. Certificate of Deposits/IRAs basic information
16. Estate Accounts
17. Revocable Trust
18. Minor Accounts
19. Safe Deposit Boxes - Opening new boxes and entry access into the box
20. Knowledge of Business Account Types, but not limited to:
21. Deposit and Savings account types and features
22. Certificate of Deposits
23. What is required for small business customers such as Sole Proprietorships, Partnerships, and Unincorporated Associations
24. Ability to Interview New Account customers and performs other functions such as setting up customer records, verifying references, and holding uncollected funds.
25. Open and Maintenance new accounts and sells Certificates of Deposits.
26. Ability to follow data integrity procedures by reviewing documentation, checking back work, imaging, and indexing daily work.
27. Ability to discover other customer needs to cross sale/send referrals for other services including but not limited to:

29. Alliance Bank Financial Services (ABFS)
30. Galyean's Insurance
31. Merchant Services
32. Remote Deposit Capture
33. Assist customers with account fraud such as identity theft, account takeover, counterfeit checks, forgery items, debit card disputes, and ACH disputes.
34. May perform vault duties such as ordering/shipping currency and coins and distributing money to other service specialists.
35. Ability to learn the role of Relationship Banker II and perform that role in a frontline or backup capacity as needed.
36. Establish, retain, and deepen relationships with banking center customers and potential customers to achieve sales goals and provide quality customer service.
37. Keep updated on all Alliance Bank policies and procedures pertaining to this position.
38. Attendance and punctuality are a must.

Rotation: Monday through Friday 7:40 am - 4:30 pm and Monday through Friday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
