Supervisor, Nuclear Security - Perry

Job Summary This position is responsible for the management and administration of the Access Authorization and Fitness for Duty Program and serves as a Backup for the Fleet Security Manager – Access Authorization and Fitness for Duty when required. Key Accountabilities Actively serve as a Reviewing Official for in-processing of personnel. Serve as regulatory interface with the USNRC for the Access Authorization and Fitness for Duty Functions. Supervise outage personnel processing functions, including numerous part-time personnel. Provide oversight for vendor contracts that support outage processing and fitness for duty functions. Provide support to the Security Manager for Site Security Operations and Administration. Manage a site collection and testing facility for drug and alcohol testing requirements in accordance with 10CFR Part26. Serve as the training instructor for the Reviewing Official and Fitness for Duty Collectors. Oversee and protect sensitive information systems containing criminal history information of company and contractor personnel in accordance with 10CFR73.57. Manage day‑to‑day implementation of Access Authorization, Fitness for Duty, and Fatigue Programs at the assigned nuclear site, including Health Services. Establish and maintain working relationships with local law enforcement and court systems to resolve AA/FFD issues. Serve as the Personnel Access Data System (PADS) Administrator for the assigned nuclear site. Manage a significant records system in accordance with regulatory requirements. Participate in the management of self‑assessments, audits, inspections, critical group investigations and response to Employee Assistance Program (EAP) concerns. Actively participate in external industry organizations. Administer select portions of the Security Organization Budget where applicable. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Fleet Security Manager – Access Authorization and Fitness for Duty. Education, Experience & Skill Requirements High School Diploma. 5 years of experience in the nuclear industry related to security. Current Reviewing Official certification or ability to obtain within 6 months. Current Fitness for Duty Collector certification. Working knowledge of 10CFR Part26 and 10CFR73.56. Supervisor experience is preferred.
