Your responsibilities will include installation, repair, and maintenance of building equipment and controls to ensure operational excellence and reliable service delivery. Working from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., you will be integral to JLL’s commitment to client satisfaction, safety, and high-performance environments. This is a hands-on opportunity to leverage your technical expertise, support daily operations, and contribute to best-in-class property management.## What your day-to-day will look like:* Control daily operation of all mechanical equipment and building systems during 2nd shift* Monitor and maintain refrigeration, water cooling, air conditioning, boilers, heating, ventilating, and hot water equipment* Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems* Formulate and implement preventative maintenance programs in collaboration with the Operations Manager* Complete tenant service requests accurately and expediently during shift* Oversee and evaluate building systems for optimal performance and efficiency* Track and report time worked; comply with purchasing and receiving procedures; support special projects as needed## Required Qualifications:* High school diploma or GED* Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical and HVAC trade, including Roof Top Units* Minimum 4 years of experience in backup systems (generator and UPS)* Universal CFC certification* Knowledge of building automation, water treatment, and fire life safety systems* Strong customer service orientation with excellent verbal and written communication skills* Ability to walk long distances and lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently (occasionally up to 100 pounds)## Preferred Qualifications:* Experience with tenant services, preventative maintenance, purchasing, and inventory control* Background in contracted maintenance and general maintenance operations* Familiarity with building automation systems and control technologies* Understanding of Northern Illinois building codes and regulations* Data Center Operations and/or Critical Environments experience## Location: Northern Illinois## Work Shift: 2nd Shift – 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.This position does not provide visa sponsorship.
