Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health status through telehealth sessions, maintaining a flexible yet structured approach tailored to individual needs.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that focus on each client's unique needs, capabilities, and therapeutic goals.
• Engage in regular follow-up sessions with clients, providing consistent support and equipping them with practical tools to manage their mental health challenges.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care, which may include referrals to psychiatrists or other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Maintain detailed electronic health records to track client progress and therapeutic outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and confidentiality protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will touch the lives of individuals facing a range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse background of clients, necessitating cultural competence and an understanding of various treatment modalities to best support each individual's journey.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid mental health counselor license: LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R as recognized by the state of New York.
• A minimum of four years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, with a proven track record in individual and group therapy.
• Sound knowledge of mental health disorders and a repertoire of evidence-based treatment strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with a diverse population, delivering culturally sensitive and responsive therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Experience utilizing telehealth platforms for therapy to enhance accessibility for clients.
• Proven crisis intervention skills and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural ability to build rapport and trust with clients from varied backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
