Software Engineer

About the Role:

As a CBRE SoftwareEngineer, you will carry out Master Systems Integration ofbuilding management systems (BMS), build control databases, create userinterfaces and set-up control systems based on project specification and/orsales proposals.

Provideon-site and remote technical support to installers and customers. Performsfield startup and system commissioning tasks as well as the remote installationof software and control programs.

This job is part of the SoftwareEngineering job function responsible for delivering projects on a global scale for large enterprise clients usingindustry leading technologies and processes.

What You’ll Do:

· Create complex programming using flowdiagrams, sequences of operations and panel layouts.

· Perform programming of control applicationsusing various software tools.

· Perform job-site system checkout,commissioning, and testing of control applications.

· Confirm proper operation according toproject specifications, sales proposal, and design documentation.

· Approve and develop system graphicdisplays, according to project specifications or sales proposal.

· Provide on-site and remote technicalsupport to installers and customers.

· Perform advanced system evaluation anddiagnostics.

· Isolate and troubleshoot escalated problemsand take corrective action.

· Document problem resolution and reportfinding back to Project team for customer follow-up.

· Coordinates system installation withinstalling contractors at job site as required.

· Apply in-depth knowledge of standardprinciples and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solveroutine problems.

· Coach others and share in-depth knowledgeof standard principles and a broad knowledge of several job disciples withinthe function.

· Supportthemanagement of softwaretools.

· Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reachan agreement.

· Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.

· Work withinbroad guidelines and policies.

· Explain difficult orsensitive information.

What You’ll Need:

· Bachelor's Degree in HVAC, Electrical,Mechanical or Software Engineering preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination ofexperience and education will be considered.

· Understanding of existingprocedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.

· Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.

· In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

· Strong organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.

· Must possess core knowledge in a minimum of four of the following:

• BuildingManagement Systems

• Niagara- Required

• DistechControls

• BuildingAutomation protocols (BACnet, Modbus)

• HVACControls

• ITNetworking

• Commissioning

• Troubleshooting

· Travelrequirement is up to 50% of your annual time. Trips will be overnight up to a weeklong. Back-to-back travel weeks are not normal.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Software Engineer position is $96,500 annually [or $46.39 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Software Engineer position is $115,500 annually [or $55.52 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
