Executive Administrative Specialist

Position Information The Division of Biomedical Sciences at the UC Riverside School of Medicine—which bridges basic science research and clinical medicine while addressing healthcare disparities in Inland Southern California—is seeking an Executive Administrative Specialist to provide comprehensive, high‑level analytical, project management, and administrative support. In this critical role you will serve as a central operational resource and liaison for senior management, faculty, and staff by researching and synthesizing complex data for proposals, managing sophisticated executive calendars, coordinating travel and high‑level events, and serving as a departmental guide on fiscal and administrative policies. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational and interpersonal skills, thrives in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities, and maintains the highest level of discretion and sound judgment within an academic health or medical school setting. The full salary range for the Executive Administrative Specialist is $68,361.12 to $109,244.16 annually; the expected pay scale for this position is up to $86,422 annually. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. The position is hybrid—three days onsite and two days remote. Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience or training. Experience Requirements 2–4 years of related experience. Extensive and progressive experience providing high‑level executive, project management, and analytical support. Experience in a medical school, medical center, or hospital environment. Minimum Requirements Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, both verbally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to determine and locate relevant and reliable sources for the collection of information and data. Ability to remain flexible at all times with changing priorities and last minute changes. Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns. Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. Solid organizational skills and ability to multi‑task within a demanding timeframe. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the academic and administrative structure of UCR. Working knowledge of common organization‑specific and other computer application programs. Location Hybrid position—three days onsite and two days remote.
