Lab Assistant - School of Information Technology

Overview These positions are part‑time, temporary positions filled each semester on an as‑needed basis. This position and the posting will stay open continuously in order to build a pool of qualified candidates for future openings as part‑time assistants. Applicants will not be notified unless there is an actual need to fill the position or if the candidate does not meet minimum requirements. Responsibilities Responsibilities include lab and equipment monitoring; assisting students with application, procedures and policies; lab preparation and supplies; and basic troubleshooting for computers. In addition, this position assists with set up of PCs per faculty requirements, imaging of hard drives, PC configuration and upgrades, PC and network wiring, network rack configuration. Qualifications Good communication skills. IT education, hardware and software knowledge.
