Business Systems Engineer # of Positions: 1 Location: Tucson (Marana), AZ Work Type: Hybrid (2 days/week in office) | Duration: Conversion at 6 months to FTE Citizenship: US Citizen, GC CTH (6-month) Interview process: (1) Interview with manager, (2) Possibly with another executive Position Summary Our client is a direct hire, multi disciplined industrial construction and metal fabrication company, is seeking a Business Systems Engineer to own and support our growing ecosystem of business applications, integrations, and reporting platforms. This role will act as the bridge between business teams, IT vendors, and software systems, ensuring our applications operate smoothly and deliver meaningful insights. This position will support day‑to‑day system operations, SaaS configuration, reporting and analytics, and coordination with external technology partners including our Managed Services Provider (MSP) and third‑party development teams. The ideal candidate is technically curious and hands‑on, capable of troubleshooting systems, improving business processes, working with integrations and APIs, and building data insights that help the organization make better decisions. This role is expected to evolve over time as our systems, integrations, reporting, and automation capabilities continue to mature. Key Responsibilities Business Systems Administration Administer and support internal business applications and SaaS platforms Configure system settings, workflows, integrations, user roles, and permissions Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolution with vendors or internal teams Maintain system documentation and technical knowledge base Analytics & Reporting Develop and maintain operational dashboards and reporting solutions Support business teams with ad‑hoc data analysis and insights Build automated reporting solutions for operational and leadership use Help define and track key performance metrics across business functions Integration & Automation Support integrations between internal systems and SaaS platforms Work with APIs, automation tools, and data connectors Coordinate with external development partners on integration projects Identify opportunities for workflow automation and process improvement Vendor & Technology Coordination Collaborate with external MSP and technology vendors to resolve system issues Assist with technology implementation projects and system upgrades Participate in testing, validation, and change management processes Core Skills Required Qualifications Experience administering or supporting SaaS platforms (ERP, CRM, HRIS, etc.) Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Experience building reports or dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar Basic understanding of APIs, integrations, and automation tools Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience with SQL or database querying Experience with Power Automate Experience supporting ERP or back‑office operational systems Key Traits for Success Technically curious and enjoys understanding how systems connect Comfortable working across multiple software platforms Strong problem solver with attention to operational details Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions Takes ownership of systems and continuously seeks improvements What You’ll Work On Building dashboards and analytics to support operational decisions Improving system configurations and workflows Supporting integrations between internal platforms Improving data visibility across departments Assisting with automation and emerging AI‑driven initiatives #J-18808-Ljbffr The MAXIS Group
