Band 1H Primary Responsibilities: Greet and acknowledge all arriving/departing guests. Maintain cleanliness,sanitation, and organizationofthe work areasat all times. Set up and break down offood and drinks at the Club Lounge Maintain suppliesfor the Lounge The ability to display, at all times,a friendly, courteousand professionalmanner in all dealings withguests, patronsand other employees. The ability to welcome and register hotelguests with an emphasis on fulfilling requests, followingspecial handlinginstructions and adheringto established credit policiesand procedures. The ability to handle a multitude of keys. The ability to pre-register individualsor groups asrequired; assist in escorting VIP’sand returnguests to their rooms asrequested. The ability to work closely with GuestService Ambassadors,Concierge Ambassadorsand FrontService Ambassadors to coordinate the efficient handling ofguest luggage and follow up onguestsrequests. The ability to handle guest problemsor complaints. The ability to utilize the computer systemin running dailyreportsand blocking special requests. The ability to keep allsupport departmentsinformed of necessaryinformation or requests. The ability to complete key packets and vouchers,and to modify registration cards. The ability to recite hours of operation of all hotel facilities andspecial service codes. The ability to understand the tasks performed by a Communication Ambassador, a ReservationAgent,a Concierge Ambassador and a Housekeeper. The ability to handle hotel emergency procedures and situations with maturity and professionalism. The ability to perform tasks and projectsas delegated by the Front Office Manager,Assistant FrontOffice Manager or HotelAssistant Manager. Register guests and assign rooms; accommodate special requests whenever possible. Check in/out and settle account with fullunderstandingof folio. Understand room status and room status tracking. Know room locations,types of rooms available,and room rates. Use suggestive sellingtechniques to sellrooms and to promote other services of the hotel. Coordinate room status updates with the HousekeepingDepartment by notifying housekeeping ofall check-outs, latecheck-outs, earlycheck-ins,special requests,day use rooms and noshow rooms. Possess a workingknowledge of the ReservationsDepartment, take same day reservations andfuture reservationswhen necessary. Know cancellation procedures. The ability to issue outkey cards with proper controls so that keys are given only to registered guests. Know how to useFront Office equipment. Process allguest requests. Use proper mail, package and message handling procedures. Be aware of dailyactivities and meetings takingplace in the hotel. Coordinate guestroom maintenance work with the engineering and maintenance division. Report any unusualoccurrences or requests to the manager or designated manager. Know all safetyand emergency procedures. Be aware of accident prevention policies. Understand that business demandssometimes make it necessary to move employees from theiraccustomed shift to other shifts. Be aware that bending,stooping, and liftingitems weighing 30 pounds or more may be required. The ability to work well with other departments since they allwork hand in hand. The ability to cross-train in other areasof the hotel as needed to understand the overall operationsof a hotel. Ability to communicate effectively, prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks with variousdepartments and guests. Ensure familiarity with all hotel services/features to respond to guest inquiries accurately. Must be highly organized, detail-oriented. Ability to maintain positive guest relations at all times. Accurate typing skills of 40 wordsper minute Perform allother dutiesas may be required or assigned. Other Duties: Generate reports asrequired. Escort guests to their room upon check-in if needed. Assist other positions in the department. Follow all company policies and procedures. Working Conditions: Exposure to variable noise levels and weather conditions. Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hoursthroughout work shift. WorkHours: Schedule will be based on operationalneeds. Equipment Use: Ability to masterfully utilize the following systems: Opera,Saflok, Microsoft Office, and othersystems utilizedin Front Office area. Mental and Physical Demands: Must be able to handleirateguestsand remain calm and friendly. Must be able to work under pressure, managestressful situations, and multi-task. Must be able to endure various physical movements throughout the work areas. Communication Demands: Must be able to verbally communicatein person and over the phone. Must be able to multi-task. TB clearance Minimum 3 years customer service experience preferred.
