About This Office

Dental Hygienist – Full Time

Dentistry Plus – Lexington | Lexington, KY

Dentistry Plus – Lexington is growing, and we're excited to welcome a Full‑Time Dental Hygienist to our fast‑paced, family‑oriented practice. With the addition of a new doctor late last year, we're expanding access to care and building a strong hygiene team to support two full‑time providers.

We are open to new graduates and happy to support you through licensure and onboarding, while also welcoming experienced hygienists seeking either a full‑time or part‑time opportunity.

Schedule

• Current hours: Monday–Thursday | 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM
• Future potential: Fridays 7:45 AM – 2:00 PM (not decided at this time)

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional preventive and periodontal care to patients of all ages
• Perform dental cleanings, periodontal therapies, scaling and root planing, and patient education
• Take and review dental radiographs as needed
• Collaborate closely with doctors and clinical team to support comprehensive treatment planning
• Accurately document patient care and clinical notes in the practice management system
• Maintain infection control standards and operatory readiness
• Support practice growth by creating positive patient experiences and fostering long‑term relationships

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky Dental Hygiene License required to start
• New graduates are encouraged to apply—we are happy to wait for licensure
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience with Dentrix, iTero, and Dexis preferred, but training is provided during onboarding
• Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
• Motivated, dependable, and eager to grow clinically and professionally

Qualifications:

• Current dental hygienist license
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office
• Completion of Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to starting employment
