Direct Support Professional I - Respite

Rate of Pay: $19.00 per hour The Respite worker provides families of children with special health care needs relief by providing one‑on‑one direct care for their child within or outside the home, implementing a safety and service plan. All duties vary by each child's specific needs. Parents/caretakers provide all training specific to their child. The safety plan must be reviewed and implemented as necessary. New Hire Sign‑on Bonus: Up to $1,000 Responsibilities Provide on call safe one‑to‑one direct care per the plan for children with special health care needs as directed by parents/caretakers. Provide socialization opportunities within home and/or outside the home when appropriate. Perform all necessary self‑care tasks as needed by the individual supported. Provide transportation to and from all social activities only as approved by parent/caretaker. Provide required documentation to coordinator in a timely manner.
