Data Modeler

Location: Durham, NC, Remote till covid

Duration: 12+ months

Job Description:

Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
Bachelors in Computer Science or related field with at least 10 years for relevant experience is desired.
Strong multidimensional modeling experience
Strong systems analysis and business use case modeling experience is preferred
Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
Successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large disconnected datasets
Knowledge of agile methods is a plus.
Preferable experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures, and data sets
Preferable experience in cloud services such as AWS EMR, EC2 etc.
Experience supporting and working with multi-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Candidate should also have experience using the following software/tools:
Proven experience in BI Tools such as Power-BI, Tableau, OBIEE etc.
Good experience in Semantic layers & Multidimensional modeling & tools like AtScale
Strong data pipeline experience - SQL, Python, MDX etc.
Experience with data management tools such as Alation, Collibra and other data catalogs
