Scrum Master / Delivery Lead PM

Job Overview Scrum Master/Delivery Lead (Project Manager I) – Contract to Hire position based out of Westlake Village, CA. This role focuses on Agile enablement, team coaching, and delivery leadership for a software development organization. Key Responsibilities Servant‑leadership: Proactively remove impediments and protect the team from unnecessary external distractions or pressure. Facilitate all core Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospectives) with expertise and accountability. Drive continuous improvement by leading retrospectives that foster psychological safety and implementing actionable improvements. Support the Product Owner/Manager to maintain a well‑defined, refined, and prioritized Product Backlog. Track and communicate key metrics (velocity, lead time, burndown) to maintain delivery transparency and health. Work across functional groups to remove systemic impediments and coach the broader organization on productive Scrum team interactions. Act as a change agent for enterprise‑scale Agile delivery using scaling frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS, View email address on click.appcast.io). Perform other related duties as required and assigned, demonstrating alignment with organizational culture and values. Desired Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. 7+ years of experience managing software development projects in complex stakeholder environments. 3+ years of proven experience as a dedicated Scrum Master leading software development teams. Professional Scrum Master Certification (CSM, A‑CSM, CSP‑SM, or CSPO) desired. Experience with Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) and regulated industries (e.g., mortgage finance) desired. Proficiency with modern Agile and ALM tools such as Jira, Rally, or Azure DevOps. Strong facilitation skills: ability to run high‑impact meetings, manage conflict, and build consensus. Excellent communication (interpersonal, verbal, written, presentation) for both technical and executive audiences. Strong organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize and manage complex tasks in fast‑paced settings. Technical acumen to understand development processes and software release management.
