Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Inpatient Rehab position in Illinois requiring an active IL RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an inpatient rehabilitation unit within a hospital setting
• Primary patient population includes high neuro and stroke cases
• Night shift schedule from 7 pm to 7 am
• Required to work every third weekend, covering Friday and Saturday nights
• Performs all standard medical floor duties except Heparin drips
• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating a personalized patient care plan
• Provides patient education and instructions to patients and families
• Expected to use clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition
• Participation in a multidisciplinary team is required
• Professional communication skills for conflict management are expected
• Maintains accurate medical records and meets core measure responsibilities
• Orientation and continuing education participation is encouraged

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience necessary
• Current BLS certification required
• Stroke certification is a plus but not required
