Job Summary

We are seeking an Optometric Technician to join our team! As an optometric technician, you will be responsible for conducting the initial assessment of a patient, measuring and recording preliminary tests as well as specialty testing. The ideal candidate is comfortable working well with a team, has strong attention to detail, exceptional customer service skills, and is extremely organized and a quick learner.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and gather and record medical and prescription history and relevant information for their visit

Perform special testing (Visual field, OCT, photos, and more)

Assist in in-office procedures, as needed

Educate patients on treatments and general eye health

Maintain a professional atmosphere and appearance of office and pretest room

Understand ocular terminology and diseases and know the ocular abbreviations

Complete necessary paperwork and perform testing on patients prior to doctor examination

Ensure high-quality patient care
