Job Title: Food Service Associate Department: Food & Nutrition Services Location: Newark-Wayne Community Hospital 1200 Driving Park Avenue, Newark, NY Hours Per Week: Per Diem (As Needed) Schedule: Evenings Mon-Fri 4:15p-8p and Weekends: 6:30am-2:30pm *Would like someone with full availability to work Weekends*

SUMMARY: As a Food Service Associate, you will perform necessary food service duties related to preparation and service of food to patients, residents and customers of RRH facilities. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assembly of all patient, resident and customer meals or nourishments according to menu and diet specifications while utilizing proper food handling practices in a timely and organized manner. Responsible for the delivery of food carts, to and from the units while maintaining excellent customer relations. Responsible for accurate delivery and filling of supplies to units as required. Assist with maintaining organization of the coolers, freezers, and dry storage to facilitate inventory control. Maintain work areas in a safe, sanitary and orderly manner, demonstrating proper equipment use and sanitation techniques. Replenish work stations and supplies for the next meal or shift. Responsible for safe operation of food service equipment and utilizing personal protective equipment according to manufacturer labels and SDS information. Maintain a positive representation of Food and Nutrition Services through professionalism, hygiene and uniform.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of food safety and sanitation preferred. Previous food service experience preferred. Able to prioritize and follow verbal and written instructions highly preferred. Customer service driven highly desired. EDUCATION: LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Moderate - These roles require a combination of movement and stationary work, including frequent standing, walking, and moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs.). Tasks may involve repetitive reaching, bending, pushing, or pulling, along with maintaining awareness in high-traffic or operational areas. Visual focus and spatial awareness are critical in facilities, logistics, or support settings. Emotional demands include managing interruptions, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining compliance with safety standards. Environmental exposures may include equipment noise, shared workspaces, and occasional proximity to hazardous areas. Physical capability screening may be required.
