Command Room Security Officer (Surveillance / Access Control)

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-TimeShift:

• Saturday-Wednesday: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Command Room Security Officer to support site security operations from a central control environment. This is a critical position responsible for monitoring cameras, managing gate access control, reviewing system activity, and assisting with audits and investigations.

This role is best suited for someone with strong critical thinking skills, good judgment, and the ability to stay focused in a structured, technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor live camera systems and review recorded footage as needed
• Manage and support gate access control operations
• Conduct routine audits of the access control system
• Assist with incident review, investigations, and information gathering
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation
• Communicate clearly and professionally by radio, phone, and written report
• Identify system issues and apply basic troubleshooting when needed
• Remain alert and attentive in a low-light command room environment with multiple computer monitors

Qualifications

• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Comfortable working with surveillance systems, access control platforms, and computer-based monitoring tools
• Ability to troubleshoot minor system or equipment issues
• Clear communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong report-writing and documentation ability
• Ability to remain focused for extended periods in a seated monitoring environment
• Prior command room, dispatch, security operations center, or surveillance experience preferred

Work Environment

• Primarily a seated indoor position
• Low-light environment with continuous computer and camera monitoring
• Requires close attention to detail and constant awareness of site activity
