This role will require less than 10% travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.Primary Responsibilities:Work with cross-functional teams including Design, Operations, Quality, and Reliability to develop processes for batteries in a regulated industry; create design and requirements for productsDesign, develop, analyze, troubleshoot and provide technical skills during product development; meet quality standards with capable processes to optimize production efficiencies and yieldsRun experiments with statistical analysis to support fast learning cyclesDrive the innovation, development and optimization of new manufacturing concepts, processes and procedures for transfer to manufacturing operationsPlan and execute process validation: characterization, OQ/PQ, TMVs and process release activitiesAssist with scope, schedule and budget to plan and execute work accordinglyDevelop manufacturing equipment by creating requirements and interfacing with supplier during equipment design and build; familiar with FAT/SAT/IQDevelop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques including the measurement systemsEnsure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulationsPreferred QualificationsExperience in battery development/manufacturing within a regulated industryExperience in new product development including design for reliability and manufacturing (DRM)Experience with predictive modeling and experimental design software including: JMP, Minitab, and MATLABDRM or Six Sigma certificationRequired QualificationsRequires a Baccalaureate degree AND minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience OR PhD with 0 years relevant experienceFor Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position. The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
