Systems Design Engineer

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Systems Design Engineer, Rockwell Automation, Inc.,

Milwaukee, WI: Design, develop, carry out site implementation, and commission manufacturing research projects. Engage with Rockwell GEMS (Global Engineering Modularity Standards) to design, develop and test for Control and Equipment modules using ISA S88 standards. Apply broad systems engineering knowledge related to programming languages for implementing FactoryTalk applications and corresponding application development environments. Document technical \'lessons learned\', share knowledge across project teams, and extract reusable engineering objects. Complete Equipment Worksheet Including approved names, FIS Machine and Station IDs, PA Network drop location identified, and PA network IP address. Compile GAMP compliant documentation for User Requirement Specifications, Functional Specifications, Hardware/Software Design Specifications, Unit and Modular Testing. Analyze user requirements and draft detailed functional requirements on different project phases. Recommend application package for MES applications as preferred solution based on knowledge of Advance Manufacturing engineering (AME). Reduce project cycle downtime using functional flow chart development, control relays, alarm logic and control integration. Serve as the primary contact for technical topics and requirements with the customer for assigned implementation projects. Full time employment, Monday Friday, 40 hours per week. \*\** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor\'s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronics Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive-post baccalaureate experience in Automation. Must have 5 years of experience in all the following: Industrial Internet of Thing connections with machines, robots, CNCs, Torques Tools, Weld Controllers, and Industrial IOT connections using FactoryTalk Services Platform; Quality Process Model and Book of Implementation guidelines (BOIG); Programmable Logic Controllers and Distributed Control System; and IOT connections using PTC Thingworx with machines, robots, CNCs, Torques Tools, and Weld Controllers. Must have 4 years of experience in all the following: Industrial Automation for an Automotive Plant; User Requirement Specifications, Functional Specifications, Hardware/Software Design Specifications, and Unit and Modular Testing; and The Quality Process Model and PTC Thingworx, Kepware ServerEX. Must have 3 years of experience in all the following: MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems); and Factory Information System, Shop Operations Servers, Live Transfer, Purge, FTSP, FTVP, and FactoryTalk Production Centre. The position requires travel to various unanticipated worksite locations throughout the U.S approximately every 3 months for up to 3 weeks to meet with customers to review the work and scope of various contracts.
